Window handles with push-to-unlock mechanism
Press, turn, open
Security is a precious asset – and one that feels good too, whether in the home or in public buildings. Products by FSB are the No. 1 choice when it comes to combining security with good looks and well-conceived convenience. As is the case with our new window handles with push-to-unlock mechanisms.
Our tried and tested variously lockable window handles have been making life difficult for burglars for many decades now.
Our new window handles with push-to-unlock mechanisms supplement our range with two variants whose common denominator is their convenience of operation: press and turn and they’re open. The window handle is disabled at whatever position. Only by pressing the grip in towards the sash can the handle be operated in the usual turn-and-tilt manner.
This mode of functioning applies equally to the non-lockable and lockable variants. Both versions click into position at 90° intervals. This is particularly useful in the context of the lockable variant, as RC-approval is also guaranteed for windows operated on a tilt-to-turn basis as a result.
Both variants come with a variable spindle projection and conform to DIN EN 13126.
Our window handle with push-to-unlock mechanism and push-button release is additionally suitable for burglary-deterrent elements as specified in DIN EN standards 1627–1630 and is the first keyless window handle on the market to be accorded RC 2 status. True to our aim of enabling a building’s doors and windows to be fitted out in a formally cohesive manner, all FSB product collections include the new window handle with push-to-unlock mechanism.
One handle - two variants
Non-lockable variant:
greater protection against tampering from either side
The non-lockable variant protects the window handle against common means of forcing from the outside by tampering with the spindle. And it’s no anomaly if we declare difficulty of operation from the inside to likewise be a beneficial quality in this one exceptional case. It is an operating concept that serves as an obstacle to windows being opened unintentionally or against the wishes of staff etc. in the likes of nursery schools, nursing homes or public buildings.
Lockable variant:
security at the push of a button
The lockable variant additionally features a minimalist push-button release mechanism with which to secure the window handle. Depressing the push button whilst simultaneously pressing the grip in towards the sash enables the handle to be operated and the window to be opened (two-handed operation). The push-button release mechanism can be removed should it be wished to prevent the window being opened at all.
