University project

Otl Aicher is con­sid­ered one of the for­ma­tive German pro­tag­o­nists of design in the 20th century. His work was in­ter­ven­ing, cre­ative and in­tel­lec­tual. For FSB, Otl Aicher was mentor, spar­ring partner and visual de­signer. With the project 'Otl Aicher + FSB', we pay tribute to the achieve­ments of the uni­ver­sal­ist who, in ad­di­tion to his design pro­jects, re­peat­edly dealt with social issues in depth and con­stantly sought the bal­anc­ing act between phi­los­o­phy, com­merce and design.

'Otl Aicher + FSB' focuses on the pro­jects of stu­dents of design, ar­chi­tec­ture, phi­los­o­phy and cul­tural studies. The pro­jects are based on the ideas of Otl Aicher as man­i­fested in his texts and designs. Aicher's themes and ap­proaches have endured to this day and con­tinue to occupy entire gen­er­a­tions. We are looking to the future - and back to more than 35 years that are in­sep­a­ra­bly linked with Otl Aicher.

After all, he not only de­vel­oped our iconic logo and the still time­less ap­pear­ance of our brand. Under his rig­or­ous eye, we es­tab­lished a sound cor­po­rate culture that we can still build on today.
